Things to do
Many guests who have stayed at Hendrifton Farm have commented that there is so much on offer in Cornwall that they are never short of things to do whatever the weather and no matter how many times they return. We are situated on the eastern edge of Bodmin Moor, just 3 miles from Liskeard and only 12 miles from the south coast.
There are 12 areas within Cornwall that are designated as Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), closest to Hendrifton Farm you will find Bodmin Moor, Rame Head and the South Coast from Par Sands and Fowey to Looe.
Bodmin Moor
Bodmin Moor has been designated an International Dark Sky Landscape and is the first within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. On a cloud-free night take a moment to look up and marvel at the stars and listen to the local owl and the rushing sound of the river!
With over 100 square miles to explore, Bodmin Moor has the highest tors (hills or rocky peaks) of Brown Will and Rough Tor, the marvel of the Cheesewring, stunning views, spectacular scenery and some great tea rooms and pubs.
The Coast & Country Houses
Rame Head is often referred to as the forgotten corner of Cornwall. It has beautiful beaches, tidal creeks and country parks and is the home to Mount Edgcumbe Country Park, Port Eliot House and Estate and Antony House and Garden.
The South Coast AONB has some delightful beaches, the Fowey River Estuary, the headland of Gribben Head with its Lighthouse and the coastal plateau through to Looe. Take the Bodinnick Ferry between Fowey and Polruan or a boat trip from Looe, Polperro and Fowey.
